BE READY PLUS is funded by the Horizon Europe programme for research and innovation.

The Coordination and Support Action (CSA) Building a European strategic Research and Innovation Area in Direct Synergy with EU and International Initiatives for Pandemic Preparedness PLUS responded to the call HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-17-01 “Building a European partnership for pandemic preparedness” and is aligned with the EU political priorities and the Horizon Europe programme objectives and pillars.

As part of the work developed within BE READY PLUS activities, the integration of Social Sciences and Humanities, the One-Health approach and the creation of synergies between EU Member States is transversal to all initiatives and outcomes. BE READY PLUS aims to broaden the participation of EU Member States and Associated countries to Horizon Europe to the future Partnership and prepare the ways of working and operationalisation of the future Partnership to ensure its swift start.
BE READY PLUS outcomes will contribute to Horizon Europe’s main objectives of creating the change needed to support the European Union’s work ensuring a healthy and resilient Europe. Additionally, synergies are strengthened between the European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), DG Research and innovation and other relevant EU institutions and agencies in order to align objectives and actions.
