BE READY PLUS is an EU-funded project designed to help Europe better predict and respond to new infectious disease threats. To be fully prepared for the next epidemic or pandemic, Europe needs a strong and well-organized partnership. BE READY PLUS will pave the way towards the successful launch and implementation of the partnership. This partnership will create a research and innovation ecosystem that can quickly and effectively respond to future health crises. It will also work closely with Europe’s broader health security system to ensure a fast and coordinated response.

Objectives
The general objective of BE READY PLUS is to improve the EU’s preparedness to predict and respond to emerging infectious health threats. It does this by improving coordination of research and innovation funding at the EU, national, and regional levels, following shared goals set in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) on Pandemic Preparedness. It also strengthens the research system needed in health emergencies, including networks of sites and infrastructures for clinical research, to ensure a quick and effective research response.
