BE READY PLUS – looking ahead

23 May 2025 in

Launched in January 2025, BE READY PLUS builds on the foundations laid by BE READY and is running for one year, focusing on ensuring a smooth transition from strategic planning to the implementation of the Partnership, by establishing operational structures that broaden the participation of EU Member States and Associated countries. This will include the preparation of the future Joint Transnational Calls funded by the Partnership to boost excellent research in pandemic preparedness. BE READY PLUS also paves the ground for an ever-warm, EU-wide Network of networks of clinical research sites, ready to pivot in case of outbreak, and ensuring collaboration and coordination of existing infrastructures, networks and initiatives. The future European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness is expected to launch in the beginning of 2026 and will shape a sustainable, inclusive research and innovation ecosystem capable of rapidly responding to emerging health threats across Europe and beyond.

Led by ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE / Inserm) and bringing together 31 partner institutions from 21 countries, BE READY PLUS unites researchers, public health agencies, and multidisciplinary experts to align science, policy, and funding strategies contributing to the European Preparedness Union Strategy.

To keep you informed and engaged, BE READY PLUS will roll out a range of communication activities on the developments for the upcoming Partnership. These include factsheets, press releases, and regular updates on social media, starting with LinkedIn—with more channels to follow. The project website will also be continuously updated with new content and insights as BE READY PLUS progresses. Stay tuned for the latest updates, resources, and opportunities to connect.
