The CSA BE READY is a collaborative project involving public organizations in the health field (https://beready4pandemics.eu/partners) from the EEA (European Economic Area), each of whom is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

The LNS, as data controller for the website and the mailbox attached to the website, has drafted the following data protection policy in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation hereinafter “GDPR”)).

The LNS is currently acting as manager for the website www.beready4pandemics.eu and the mailbox info@beready4pandemics.eu, but each partner of the CSA BE READY contributes to the content and information disclosed on the site. Any subsequent reference to the LNS in these terms shall include all the partners involved in the CSA BE READY.

Why is this data collected?

The LNS is the Data controller for the information that you provide to us when you visit the CSA BE READY website.

The personal data collected via the BE READY website allows to:

Provide services:

  • respond to contact requests and send documentation or information to participants of the platform;
  • send you the newsletter if you consent to receive it.

Site analytics:

  • prepare aggregated and anonymous statistical reports on visitor activity necessary for performance evaluation.

What data is collected?

The LNS collects the user’s personal data when he/she browses this website (via cookies) and when he/she uses the contact request form or event registration form or project's activities-related surveys.

In accordance with the Regulation, the LNS collect only the data provided by you and only strictly useful personal data are collected and processed.

Access to your personal data is strictly limited to employees and staff authorized by reason of their duties and bound by the obligation of confidentiality and, where applicable, by subcontractors. The partners in question are subject to an obligation of confidentiality and may use your data only in accordance with our contractual provisions and the applicable legislation.

Through Contact request

When the user fills in a contact form on the website, the following data may be included:

When the user fills in a survey form on the website, the following data may be included:

For the newsletter

The LNS process your data (i.e. email address) to send you the newsletter (once per year) of the CSA BE READY.

The LNS only use your personal data if you give us your consent to receive the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the hyperlink at the bottom of the newsletter or by contacting us directly via the contact form.

Via cookies

Some data is collected automatically as a result of the user’s visit to the site, through the use of cookies.

Three types of cookies are used by the BE READY website:

  • Internal session cookies necessary for the site to function optimally

Session cookies only last for a session, which starts when the webpage is launched and ends when the website or browser window is closed. They never reside on the user's device and only contain information that is kept in a temporary memory location. Once the session is over, session cookies are removed.

  • First-party cookies

First-party cookies are directly stored by the domain of the website. These cookies enable website owners to gather analytical information and enhance website functionality for a better user experience. The storage of these cookies in the browser is longer. As a result, the user can be recognized when he/she returns to the website and the suggested content can be tailored to his/her preferences.

The icons of LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube are inserted into the website. If you click on these icons, then you leave the CSA BE READY website and you are redirected to a page of this site. How long will the data be kept?

It is not intended to keep the user's personal information any longer than is necessary to achieve the goals outlined here or as required by applicable law.

Session cookies only last for a session.

First-party cookies will store information for a maximum of two years.

The information from the contact form is kept only as long as is necessary to complete the processing before being deleted.

The personal data collected for the newsletter are kept for the duration of the project and until the end of the newsletter sending.

Is my data transferred?

According to the above, and apart from the need to disclose personal data to companies whose intervention as third-party service providers on behalf and under the control of the LNS is required for these purposes, the LNS will not transmit any personal data collected in this context, neither sell, rent nor exchange them with any organization or entity, unless you have been informed beforehand and/or that you have explicitly given your consent or, unless required by law, for example in a legal proceeding.

Personal data are not transmitted to third countries or to international organizations outside the EEA (European Economic Area includes the United Kingdom and Switzerland). Third parties, service providers are subject to the same rules of confidentiality.

On what legal basis is your data processed?

Any processing of the user’s data obtained through this website—including data collection through the setting up of cookies, the newsletter and submissions to contact forms—requires the user’s consent in accordance with Article 6 1.a) of the GDPR.

When information is submitted through the website's contact form, the user provides the CSA BE READY consent to the processing of his/her personal data by selecting the "SEND NOTICE" button. Furthermore, the user ensures that the data provided is accurate, true and complete. For any user providing falsified data, the CSA BE READY may refuse to hand over information or services requested without prejudice to any other legal action that may be open to it.

According to the law, the user has the right to access, correct, object, remove, and transfer the data that has been collected about him/her through this website.
