As BE READY approaches its conclusion in May 2025, the final newsletter offers an overview of the project’s key achievements and a forward look at the next phase of work. Over the past three years, BE READY has brought together 25 partners from 16 countries to strengthen Europe’s pandemic preparedness through more coordinated and strategic research and innovation.
Key outcomes include the development of the first version of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), a guiding document for future research priorities, and the creation of the Pandemic Preparedness and Response Observatory, which compiles detailed country profiles on national R&I systems and response capacities. These resources are complemented by extensive stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and strategic dialogue across EU institutions, Member States, and global health partners.
This work has laid the foundation for the future European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness, supporting the creation of a resilient, inclusive, and coordinated research and innovation ecosystem at European level.
In June 2025, the website will be transferred to BE READY PLUS, maintaining the same URL (beready4pandemics.eu) and visual identity. Both the SRIA and the Observatory will remain accessible and continue to be developed under BE READY PLUS.
Thank you for following and supporting BE READY. We invite you to stay connected as BE READY PLUS continues this important work in 2025!
